Further to making our pledge under the Armed Forces Covenant, Turbine Surface Technologies (TST) are proud to announce that we have now received the Bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). The ERS recognises commitment and support from UK employers to defence personnel
The Bronze award is granted once a company has signed the Armed Forces Covenant and is working to actively promote being an ‘armed forces-friendly employer,’ which is developing its recruitment and workplace policies in support of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (DERS).
John Kilgallon, General Manager of Turbine Surface Technologies commented:
“To achieve the Bronze Award reinforces the TST pledge to support the Armed Forces and underlines our commitment to being an armed forces-friendly employer. We are eager and open to employing reservists and armed forces veterans, who bring excellent transferable skills and demonstrate a mission focus essential in our business.
This award means a lot to us at TST. We have a proud military history amongst our team members. The TST Team will continue to shape our support to the Armed Forces and are dedicated to helping military leavers transition successfully into second careers.”
At TST, we are delivering on our pledge by:
- Employing a number of military veterans within our team and recognise their military skills and qualifications.
- Supporting the employment of both military leavers and their spouses and partners.
- Ensuring reservists are supported in their continuing commitments to the UK Armed Forces.
