World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on 10 October. This year’s theme set by the World Federation of Mental Health is workplace mental health. The theme highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, for the benefit of people, organisations, and communities.
Work can have a huge impact on our mental health. It can be good for our mental health, giving us a sense of purpose, boosting our self-worth, and providing opportunities to connect with others. But it can also be a source of stress and anxiety and contribute to developing or worsening mental health problems.
At Turbine Surface Technologies we believe that developing mental health awareness and wellbeing in the work culture is a responsibility of every individual at different levels of our business. Here at TST we are taking steps in promoting mental health in the workplace. We are ensuring that all our Employees have access to and are aware of what is available when help is needed. We have a dedicated welfare area and currently have 21 personnel that are trained to MHFA status.
TST continue to promote mental health, we want to ensure that all our Employees have access to and are aware of what is available when help is needed.
On World Mental Health Day, let’s all come together to talk about mental health and show everyone that mental health matters. Talking about our mental health can help us cope better with life’s ups and downs.
So, on World Mental Health Day and beyond it, why not check in with your friends, family, peers, or colleagues?
Everyone deserves good mental health
